Quality Control

Quality Control from Manufacturing to Final Inspection

For heavy-duty machine tools, quality depends on consistent control of component manufacturing, machining accuracy, assembly and final machine performance. XS applies quality control throughout production rather than relying only on final inspection.
With in-house manufacturing, dedicated measurement equipment and technical personnel, XS verifies critical dimensions, geometric accuracy, machine alignment and operating functions according to machine specifications and project requirements.

Technical Requirement & Inspection Planning

Drawings Are Reviewed Before Production

Critical dimensions, tolerances, materials, machine configuration and inspection requirements are identified from the approved technical documents.

Inspection Points Are Defined Before Manufacturing

Key component, assembly and final-machine inspection points are established according to machine specifications and project requirements.

Acceptance Criteria Are Confirmed Before Shipment

Accuracy requirements, testing methods, required documents and customer-specific acceptance criteria can be agreed before production.

Manufacturing Quality Control

Critical Dimensions Are Checked Against Drawings

Key dimensions of machined beds, bases, headstocks and other components are measured against the approved technical drawings, with actual values recorded for conformity verification.

Guideway Geometry Is Measured Before Assembly

Straightness, flatness and parallelism of critical guideway surfaces are measured before assembly, with measured values compared against the specified geometric tolerances.

Machined Features Are Verified Before Assembly

Critical holes, mounting surfaces, center distances and other machined features are measured and checked against their specified dimensions before entering assembly.

Measurement & Accuracy Control

Critical Components Are Verified by ZEISS CMM

ZEISS coordinate measurement is used to measure critical dimensions, hole positions, center distances and geometric relationships, with measured results compared against drawing requirements.

CNC Axis Accuracy Is Verified by Laser Interferometer

Laser interferometer testing measures CNC axis positioning accuracy and repeatability over the specified travel, producing recorded measurement results for acceptance against the applicable machine requirements.

Spindle Runout Is Measured Before Final Testing

Spindle radial and axial runout are measured during machine inspection, with actual readings checked against the specified machine accuracy requirements.

Assembly & Machine Testing

Spindle and Tailstock Alignment Is Checked After Assembly: The spindle centerline, tailstock centerline and their relationship to the machine bed are measured after assembly to verify alignment against the specified tolerance.
Guideway and Carriage Movement Is Checked Across the Working Length: The carriage is moved through its applicable travel while movement and alignment are checked to identify deviation or abnormal movement.
CNC Functions Are Verified Through Actual Machine Operation: Each applicable axis is operated through its travel range, while spindle rotation, feed movement, CNC control, lubrication, hydraulic functions and safety functions are tested.

Nonconformance Control

Nonconforming Components Are Identified Before Release: Components that fail defined dimensional, geometric or functional requirements are held for review before entering the next production stage.
Corrective Action Is Taken Before Final Release: Nonconforming conditions are reviewed and corrected or otherwise dispositioned according to the applicable quality procedure.
Final Release Follows Inspection Requirements: Products are released for assembly or shipment only after the applicable inspection requirements have been completed.

Pre-Shipment Quality Control

Final Accuracy Is Checked After Complete Assembly

Applicable machine geometry, spindle condition and CNC axis accuracy are verified after assembly so the final result reflects the complete machine rather than individual components only.

Machine Functions Are Tested Before Packing

The completed machine is operated before shipment to verify spindle, axis, feed, CNC, hydraulic, lubrication and electrical functions according to its configuration.
