Air Hammer for Forging

The Air Hammer for Forging is a pneumatic power hammer for hot forging small metal workpieces. The Anyang ST 15 kg model is designed for repeated forging operations such as drawing, upsetting and shaping in small forging and blacksmithing workshops. 

Rapid Forging: The pneumatic drive operates at up to 300 blows per minute, delivering repeated ram movement for faster deformation during hot forging.

Strong Impact: The 15 kg ram generates repeated impact through the pneumatic drive, providing the force required for drawing, upsetting and shaping heated metal stock.

Easy Die Changes: The longer ram keeps the upper die outside the cylinder area, providing direct access for die replacement and reducing tooling change time.

Flexible Tooling: The die arrangement accepts forging tools with suitable mounting holes, allowing different tooling setups for specific forging operations.

Cast Frame: The hammer uses a cast iron frame as the main structural body, supporting the ram and forging mechanism during repeated impact operation.

Controlled Lubrication: The lubrication system uses a stainless needle valve and check valve to regulate oil delivery and limit oil carryover into the exhaust.

Separate Oiler: The fabricated oiler supplies lubrication to the hammer mechanism, supporting continuous operation of the lubrication system.

Knife Blanks & Small Blades: Forging heated steel stock into knife blanks and small blade components.

Wrought Iron Components: Forming small wrought iron parts and shaped iron components.

Forged Hardware: Producing small forged hardware and general-purpose iron components.

Small Copper Parts: Forging small copper components where the material and forging process are suitable.

Floor Space: Allow installation space beyond the 920 × 600 mm machine footprint for operator movement, workpiece handling and die changes.

Power Connection: Provide a suitable single-phase electrical supply for the 2.2 kW motor.

Work Area: Keep sufficient clearance around the working area for handling heated stock and changing forging tools.
