High Pressing Force

The STP-S series delivers 30-ton or 50-ton pressing force through a hydraulic cylinder operating at 25 MPa, providing continuous downward force throughout the forging stroke. This hydraulic pressing method maintains a steady load on the workpiece rather than relying on impact, giving the press the force required for forge welding and heavy metal forming.

Stable Pressing

Four-column construction provides rigid support for the pressing frame, reducing frame movement under load.

Round guide system keeps the ram aligned throughout its stroke, supporting stable and controlled pressing.

Pull-down design lowers the machine's center of gravity, helping maintain stable operation during high-load forging.

Fast Pressing Cycle

Down speed reaches ≥80 mm/s on STP-30 and ≥70 mm/s on STP-50, allowing the ram to approach the workpiece quickly.

Forging speed is limited to ≤40 mm/s and ≤35 mm/s, providing controlled movement during pressing.

Return speed reaches ≥90 mm/s and ≥80 mm/s, reducing ram recovery time between operations.

The three-stage speed configuration helps shorten the pressing cycle while maintaining control during forging.

Forge Welding Applications

Knife and blade forging - Forge welding and pressing of prepared blanks before subsequent shaping operations.

Billet forging - Pressing and shaping heated billets within the machine's rated force and working range.

Punching operations - Punching metal blanks where the required force, stroke and tooling dimensions match the press.

General hot forming - Pressing and forming heated metal for small forging operations.

Tooling Compatibility

Die size: STP-30 supports dies up to 160 × 80 mm; STP-50 supports up to 250 × 100 mm.

Working space: Confirm the workpiece and die position against the 250 × 380 mm / 300 × 450 mm working area.

Press capacity: Match the required forming load with the 30-ton or 50-ton nominal force.

Quotation check: Provide the die drawing, die dimensions and workpiece dimensions to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Quality Control

Hydraulic system: Pressure-holding and leakage checks are performed after hydraulic assembly to verify circuit sealing before shipment.

Ram movement: The ram is operated through its working stroke to check for smooth downward and return movement.

Speed: Down, forging and return movements are checked against the specified machine speed ranges.

Guide system: Ram movement is checked through the four-column and round-guide system to identify abnormal clearance or interference.

Controls: The control button and foot pedal are function-tested to verify correct ram response.

FAQ

Q: What power supply does the hydraulic forge welding press require?

A: The standard motor powers are 4.0 kW for STP-30 and 7.5 kW for STP-50. Electrical voltage and frequency should be specified in the order for the target market.

Q: Does the hydraulic press require a foundation?

A: The machine should be installed on a level, load-bearing floor suitable for its operating weight and pressing loads. Installation conditions should be prepared before delivery.

Q: How much workshop space is needed for the press?

A: Allow space beyond the machine dimensions for operator access, workpiece handling, die installation and maintenance. The machine itself measures 1,000 × 900 × 1,450 mm for STP-30 and 1,050 × 1,250 × 1,650 mm for STP-50.

Q: How many operators are needed to run the hydraulic forging press?

A: The press is designed for manual operator control, with ram movement controlled through the control button or foot pedal. One trained operator can normally control the pressing cycle.

Q: Can the hydraulic press be shipped internationally?

A: Yes. The machine can be prepared in export-standard wooden-case packaging for overseas transportation, with the packing method arranged according to the shipment.

Q: What should be included in a purchase order?

A: The order should specify the machine model, destination electrical standard, required tooling, delivery destination and documentation requirements so the machine can be prepared for the intended market.

Q: Are replacement hydraulic components available?

A: Replacement components can be supplied for the hydraulic system and other machine assemblies. The machine model and component identification should be provided when ordering spare parts.

Q: Can the machine be inspected before shipment?

A: Yes. Pre-shipment inspection and functional testing can be arranged before packing, with the applicable inspection documentation supplied with the machine.
